Meet the Gluck Puck: a simple, effective, and long-overdue solution for securely managing strings on Fender-style necks during truss rod adjustments and neck removals. Once you try it, you’ll ask yourself—“Why didn’t this exist sooner?”
Born from collaboration.
What started as an idea in a live Zoom session with some of the most respected minds in the luthier community became a tool used daily at benches around the world.
The Gluck Puck was born during the Loothalong—a rolling global Zoom meetup where luthiers exchange tools, tips, and design ideas. The original concept came from Evan Gluck of New York Guitar Repair, who saw the need for a simple string holder that worked. David Collins (Ann Arbor Guitars) provided initial specs, and Ian Davlin applied his modeling skills to bring it to life. VL Guitar Repair manufactures the final product.
Evan Gluck is a globally respected guitar technician based in NYC. Since 2004, he’s repaired thousands of instruments and regularly lectures at Guild of American Luthiers and ASIA conventions. He’s known for his sharp wit, deep knowledge, and generous spirit in the luthier community.
